Went out in the backyard for about 45 minutes this morning before the heat. Got my first silver. 1966 Washington Quarter. And found a 1969 Lincoln Memorial. Some idiot hit a metal can and I found several pieces of it in the yard. Grrrr! OhioDeb
I hate it when I find a dime or quarter just a year or two from being silver... The other day I found both a 1965 and 66 in the same hole... Aww so close! It happens alot to me.
i wish you the best and hope you find silver on your next hunt. but the other posters are right silver coins are 1964 and earlier my silver rang as a dime at 80 81 good luck and HH
Don't worry the silver will come eventually, my house was built in the 30's and I went over every inch of it and not 1 silver So far only 2 silvers this year and that is with about 100 plus hours in the field.

even for us hunters that are very active... silver isn't that common... I have only found 10 this year and all are dimes. They are harder and harder to find.
Be thorough and patient---good things WILL come----a lot of my good finds have come from the places that you would not expect anything to be there (like a farmers field with no prior history of a home)---remember--the ground has been there forever--be adventurous and hunt "off the beaten path"--you will be surprised and rewarded---guaranteed
