Hello Striker!
I'd say you have a great collection of lead!

According to Kitco, lead is right at $1.40 per lb! I'm into cartridge reloading and personally have 500 lbs or so of the stuff lying around in one form or another. If you wish to sell it, you may want to find another reloader in your area, us guys are always needing lead!

Not all, that doesn't shine is gold! :)

Nice bunch of lead. Reminds me of the time I detected a reservoir here in our town. The water had receded and I was looking for a old gold ring. I didn't find the ring. But everyday for a week when I left the area, I took out over 6 pounds of sinkers from this place. Man was my pouch heavy. I still have all of that lead. Funny thing about it, the reservoir was built around 1911 and I found some 3 ringers that were made into sinkers.

Thanks for the post, brought back some heavy memories. LOL

nice haul. I got 35lbs of sinkers last year. you might want to go to the library and get a few books on collectable fishing tackle. some of those may be worth alot more than meltdown value. also the white lead ones are worth more too.
