I posted this group on other forum yesterday. ID'd as: #1 - vitro; #2 - akro; #4 - not ID'd; and #5 - possible Vaseline slag. For the middle akro cork, someone suggested Abalone. If I recall correctly, you called it "glass sickness" - one and the same thing? Does the cork look to have that to you? At first I thot metallic, but then I tangibly felt the roughness of the cork.

That first one is cool! Need close shots of the seams to tell, looks vitro or pelt. Betting on Vitro.
Second is Akro
3rd Akro corkscrew. I can't tell from the pic, but is that thousands of bubbles, or does it look like little grains, or if it has silvery iridescence around the pitted looking area, then it could be glass sickness (referred to as abalone on marbles sometimes) from being in the ground.
No idea on #4
#5 looks like an Akro vaseline slag.

#1: Additional pics. Interesting you thot Pelt - you made me take a second look b/c I wouldn't have seen that! #3: Other forum also said abalone; I just wanted your thots as well. They are not bubbles. At first I thot metallic, but it is on the surface and has a rough texture. (I just zoomed into the pic and you can really see the roughness by doing that). Out of curiousity, altho I know this mib isn't valuable, would the presence of abalone detract/increase or not change the value of a marble?

Dang, that is a sharp looking marble! Don't cull that one, or let me know if you do!
I think probably vitro. The seams are odd, one even looks like a master seam.

On the akro... I don't know how it would affect price because I don't think I've ever seen one that had this condition in the cork stream but the rest was fine. I think maybe this one may have been rejected by akro because the black glass was already bad coming out of the machine and it probably was discarded and in the dirt was where it picked up the abalone/glass sickness. I don't think being buried caused the pitted rough feeling. I think it probably would be worth more than a regular one of the same colors.
