4th consecutive hunt w/ silver/ two rosies/1940 merc/ ring

Hello SE Michigan here.

Had a good hunt today, nice weather, Silver! Makes for my fourth hunt in a row

in which I found silver. Last thursday- 54'rosie, friday- 46' rosie, monday

​

a 1940 wash., today two rosies 52',56', and a nice 1940 merc. The ring is

​

marked w/ 925, tiny but good.

Darn, I can't seem to find anything lately. Bought my detector last spring, used it quite a bit, just cant seem to find a spot. Not to be nosey but are you detecting private yards or what? I am actulaly thinking about getting up early one weekend morning and going to Belle Isle, gotta be something there. I am running out of spots here in Macomb.

Hello mcinmich. I have been finding my silver at Lower Huron Metro Park. I've never been to Belle Isle, but I've heard someone mention (perhaps half jokingly) that one would need a guard w/ a gun to hunt there.

There's quite a few old houses around here, but alas I haven't sought permission to hunt them, except for one and was told no. But am planning to do some research come winter.

Looks like that silver streak is still alive and well, can't wait to see you get on one of those old home sites and watch the big old silver come rollin out of the ground! love the ring too!

My silver streak ended today, but was a super nice day to be hunting, t-shirt and summer shorts weather. Did find 3 wheats, one a 1938, my first wheat from the 30's.
