A record day for me finding 5 silvers. The kid and I got permission today what the owner believes to be a late 1800's farm house.
With a couple inches of snow on the ground we think we might have missed plenty. We have permission to return any time we'd like,we will be going back.
There wasn't a lot of trash in the yard, besides the silver we only found one wheat and a small bell thingy.

Here's some pics.

What an incredible day! I'm thinking it's just the tip of the iceberg for cool finds at your new site. Can't wait to see what you dig up next! Keep it up and good luck!

Thanks Dave!! I hope your right.
It was a bittersweet hunt though, the kid and I played role reversal today. I was doing all the finding today. We even switched metal detectors and it didn't matter. As a matter of fact, 2 minutes after we switched detectors I found the last two a couple feet apart from each other.
I really hope he finds some silver our next hunt.

Five silver dimes in one hunt, and hunting in the snow? Now that's an amazing day for sure. I would remember that for a long time. Congratulations.

really sweet finds, sometimes it is that way, you try to help someone do something and you can't help stumbling over what ever it is left and right and they can't do anything right

This is usually the way it is with me, he finds and I don't no matter what I do. Twice I put him in time out (Lol) when he kept finding and I wasn't. He only took a break to give me a chance.
He thought it was funny yesterday, I wasn't laughing though. I know that feeling all to well.
I volunteered and took a break digging his holes hoping he'd find silver.
The gut buster was when we swaped detectors and my first hit was another silver followed up by a second one.
I'm sure things will get back to normal soon and he'll start kicking my butt again with better finds. Lol

Very nice silvers. I never found any in 2014, hopefully it will change. Very great day for metal detecting. You know you are in a good place when there is no trash just silvers and wheats.
