5 days finds in Kauai Silver Gold & Diamonds!

Ok let me start by saying, I'm greedy. While I made some nice finds, I thought I could of should of found more. With that said. I water hunted for 5 days, both in the mornings and again in the evenings, only hit the same beach once, as there were plenty of choices. I ended up with 7 Sterling rings, 1 being a toe ring, 1 sterling earring, and a Sterling turtle on a junk bracelet. 2 junk rings, 1 14K ring that says "VAILIKI". Anyone know what that means, it doesn't seem to be a Hawaiian name. Also a Beautiful 14K Diamond wedding set, found in front of a resort, asked, and it wasn't reported missing. It's actually two rings. I found the engagement ring first with a 42 point princess cut (square) diamond, and about 2 feet away was the split band wedding ring with 16 diamonds. That sure made the trip worth while The big fat bad is marked 925 but is engraved inside "JEG ELSKER DIG KYS EMILIE". Found pile of coins and a Case knife, which cleaned up ok. Aloha everyone, it's back to my local beach tomorrow

The silver ring inscription is Danish. It reads "I love you kisses Emilie".

I have been waiting for a new post from you with more great finds from paradise and this thread surely did not disappoint. Lots of great rings buddy, especially the awesome diamond wedding set, wooowhooo!! Congrats!

wow, great rings you found there, did you go just to metal detect?

Yup. That IS all I went for. Remember, I only live on the Big Island of Hawaii, so it wasn't a long haul and I got a condo for 5 nights for only $299.

Hey, finderzzs -- I've been waiting to hear/see how your trip to Kauai went! I understand wishing you'd found more, but you have to be pleased with your results, especially getting that wedding ring set that more than paid for the trip.

I think the best thing, though, is even if you had come up empty-handed, you still got to spend 5 days doing something you love in a place about as close to paradise as I can imagine. It doesn't get much better than that.

Can't wait to get back over there myself.

Hello, is there any regs on hunting waikiki beach? haunama bay? spelling? i like to go there, take a few girls, detect all day, play all night, and find a ring like you did and pay for the trip, does that sound good? later tg

1/2 OK, you got 3 1/2 Happies from me this time! A wedding set just feet from each other, oh brother, what a find. 5 days in a condo for $299 now I'm really packing my bags. haha

So there is a place in Hawaii called, 'kauai'? - i.e. the Japanese for 'cute'?

What type of metal detector does it take to find such nice gems as those, may I ask?

ALL beaches in Hawaii are open to the public, even every beach in front of resorts, they mot only cannot keep you out, they have to give you access to them. And why do you need to bring girls? The place is full of them
