Went to the park where I have found one real 54 diamond 14K bracelet in 2009 and one earlier this year that the jeweler said was fake. It is hard to see the markings on this one, it looks like one says 925 and the other says 21K ? It looks like gold, not like the one I found earlier this year, that don't look as much like gold. The wood chips are exciting in that park!! What do you think?

P.S. The clasp is bent, that is probably why they lost it.
Thanks for looking!

Nice find.

A good sign for it being real, is the clasp. As most jewelry wearers know - a clasp with a safety is usually NOT on fake jewelry.

I can tell you its probably not 21 karat. However, I do know that 21st Century Jewels use that hallmark for 14K and silver jewelry.

Re: 50 diamond gold tennis bracelet! Could this one be real?

I just took it to the jeweler and they said the stones where not diamonds. It does have 925 on it and the 21j mark, so I think it is silver with 14K. I said that to the jeweler and she did not say it wasn't.

I hope you didn't sell it to that jeweler!

Did they do the "scratch" test? (on the gold, not the stones).

Beth
No I didn't, the jeweler also said that it looked like it was plated. I didn't think it did, oh well.

For about 12 bucks, (give or take), you can buy a gold test kit. Wouldn't be a bad investment for anything you or anybody else finds on the "hunt". A streak plate, rub a little on it, and test.

Personally, I think the toy pistol grip is your best find of the day!
