Hello so I live in a pretty trashy area lots of trash and cans etc... my garrett at pro came with the stock 8x11 should i get the 5x8 coil is it worth it? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Yes absolutely, I have a beach that has more bottlecaps than sand here and the 5x8 makes my life so much better. I also have the Nel Snake, both are great.

Swinging your stock 8 x 11 coil over a coin that is located between 2 pulltabs will usually register as a pulltab. However, using the 5 x 8 coil will give you 3 distinct signals. The smaller coil also makes it easier to pin point a target. Definitely a must for trashy areas. Good luck partner.

It took me several years of detecting before I realized that, much of the time, smaller coils are generally more useful than large ones. Especially for coin shooters hunting trashy areas. By all means piclk up a small coil, you'll wish you'd done it sooner.
