I knew the heavy snow was coming Saturday night, so, I hunted as much as I could before, then.
1949 Rosie
1958D Rosie
1964 Rosie
1906 Barber Half and a crotal bell

I went back out Friday, and the frost was very thick in spots.... A few targets, I had to bring home in clumps to thaw out... I knew one should be a silver
dime and 2 wheats....

1-20-19.jpg

There was a 1946 Rosie in 1 clump, to go along with my 1937 Washington quarter... This little hinged box is Sterling and it's tapered... any idea's ???

Congrats on the silver and other finds. I also brought home two coins on Friday that were froze in the soil, but they were only wheats. The sterling box is pretty cool also.

Dparson05, yeah, you know your hooked, when you bring home the chucks, with your treasure inside... lol... My 30th year, not very often I get a chance to dig in January here in central NY.... -3 degrees and -30 wind chill today, but, the 8 inches of snow will help keep the frost from going too deep... Hey, Jan. is 2/3 over, Feb is a short month, come on spring... Hope you have a great 2019 … basssmann

You get my vote for the "hardcore award". Bringing chunks of frozen dirt home with a target in them is over the top.:notworthy: Gary

Nice finds Basssmann. I like that Barber half. Could your sterling box be a cigarette holder ?
