Jeff, you arent checking your holes before covering them up? Hmmm, where are you hunting again. :laughing7: TMAN...

Oh I Checked.

I put the probe in the Hole no signal,
used the Probe to locate coin in dirt
outside hole, Refilled hole,
Reswung over hole :laughing7:

IF I Missed it, it was due to Positioning
of coin.

Sometimes Breaking the Halo can
make a coin Invisible for
a little while.

Will double check next time,
but Pretty confident it's not there.

& No worries, on others,
I Got exclusive permission

Tsk, tsk, tsk. is that anyway for a Moderator to speak? I retire.
Sheesh, in my day, we had to walk five miles in a snowstorm just to get to a site to detect.
And we used sticks to dig with.
Complaining about a Standing Liberty Quarter, no less.
Carl
From beautiful, sunny, nope, not a drop of snow on the ground Colorado.

Hopefully your ground isn't as bad.
I Think that amount of moisture we got this
year has something to do with it.
I know we had 2 or 3 Major cold days & Nights this week,
But never expected it to freeze that deep, that quickly.
If I get out tomorrow & hit the same depth of
ice, I'm definately done till a good warm rain.

Getting dark Later too,
was still Light at 5PM :laughing7:

Is it the clay like material I get into here in Missouri? Cause you combine that with frozen ground.... and I actually BROKE IN HALF one of my lesche's trying to dig in it.

Yes Most Likley.
it definately Reminded me of Hard clay,
but don't remember the Problem here
earlier this year.

in Fact earlier this year I Dug a Drop
consisting of a standing, & 2 Mercs
& didn't have to fight to get at them

Yes Would have been OK at 60 degrees,
But the woods in 40 degrees may be a bit Chilly :D
