Looks like a decorative tile. Ceramic. If you could get a detailed pencil rubbing of the coat of arms on the sail, or any of the flags flying, or a name on the stern? Maybe we could narrow the ship or country down. The ship looks 15th/16th century. IMO. How did you find it?
