Lol. Thats what I thought but a friend swears they still had some silver content until 70ish.

I thought they were dipped in 1965? i agree though that they probably are not worh any more than clad as i find them all the time even today but the do fool me because the edges always seem to be silver still.

There were 90% silver 1965 quarters struck by error, but none intentionally struck.

Some were minted in error from leftover silver planchets, but no they were not dipped or made with silver.
