This afternoon hammered coins 77 and 78 came up. Both in pretty poor condition. On the full one I can see the letters EBO, this shows the coin was minted in York. On a more positive note though also found a nice small medieval pendant, with complete suspension loop 13th/14th Century. Also some silver cufflinks, very plain looking, probably Georgian.

Robert.

Robert do you ever have a bad day on that dirty job of yours? Can you show us a better shot of that midieval pendant? I find that to be an amazing personal item is it a bronze alloy?

As usual... very nice finds. I like the cuff links, but that's because you find so many hammered coins, they have become almost commonplace. That's a nice problem to have... I assume...

Gotta love the UK! Where else can you find a hammered, follow the protocols of the Antiquities Laws, sell the find to a museum or get it returned and then sell it, then go down to the local Pub and get hammered, LOL!!!:violent1::laughing7:

Hello Huntsman, the vast majority of finds in England, don't get declared. Many over the years have learnt very costly lessons. As for the pub:occasion14:
