Haven't had a score like this in some time. Every TS around has a stack of silver-plated trays and plates. I always check them and have only once been pleasantly surprised. This one felt good as soon as I picked it up. It had that soft, silky feeling of real silver. There were no marks on the back, but I could see the dent made by the marks on the front. Fortunately, the GW workers aren't trained on European marks. The marks indicate 800 silver and Vienna from the time 1872-1922. I can't quite make out the maker's mark. Maybe a "J" & ?

Good score. Just about 20 Troy ounces of pure silver melt there. Bet the thrift store never even noticed those little marks.
