Dirtfishing this month has netted seated quarter, barbers, mercs, tokens, lots of indians and tons of wheats. Roll hunting is still a passion of mine, even tho my finds sometimes pale in comparison. Decided to buy up some quarters too, and the String rolled $500 box gave up one, cool!
I also found a '68 Canadian quarter, tossed back, and a total of about 10 others of various dates. Also saw about 50 canadian dimes, as usual. And a roll of Ikes, which I usually give to a buddy for tips in Jamaica. $18 in halves gave up clads only. ffd

i bet you get a ton of silver canadians up there in michigan. What is the oldest canadian silver dime you have ever gotten?
My oldest dug canadian is an 1872 Victoria quarter that was a pocket spill along with an 1894 Barber quarter. My oldest crh canadian is a 1900 Victoria dime.

Nice finds, are you saying you find more coins dirtfishing than you do CRH'ing???

Chris.

I am really quite stumped on which detector to buy, I have never done it, but it seems like I have become quite obsessed with it lately... As soon as I figure out which one to buy, I am ready to hammer it...

Chris, I've found many more times the silver roll hunting than I have detecting, but the detecting finds are quality. I know my chances of roll hunting a silver dollar, key date indian, 1700's silver, are kind of slim, but I've dug all those coins and more.
Good luck if you get a dirtfishing rod, and don't listen when they say the good finds are gone. ffd
