Got out with Gary(foundationhunter) the sites we originally wanted to go to couldn't gain access so,we went to plan B a couple other sites I had in mind.We ended up doing pretty good.Gary got a 1843 braided hair large cent. I got 2 coppers.one is a 1837 matron head LC & the other is a King George II.both kinda toasted.I think my find of the day is this rail road tag.I believe it may stand for Housatonic Rail Road.gotta do a little research on it.
these 2 coppers make 80 on the year.last year i had 80 3/4's so, one more and i break my record.gettin out with sniffy sunday so,hopefully tomorrow will be the day!
link for Housatonic Railway.this tag is pre 1892 then

ticks are horrible out there so,dress smart!

I am sure that you will have no problem beating 80 3/4 coppers. It would be funny if your next was only 1/2 a copper. I bet you would stand there shaking your head8-)

Nice digs. I'm hoping you'll dig another large copper pocket spill. 100 coppers would be something to see.

A couple decent coppers there.
Good luck out there today, getting to 81 is just a formality now.

Ticks in November, that's a drag, at least around here they tend to disappear around mid Aug.

Quite a few goodies there, the reverse on the GII is nice, usually that side is worse than the bust.
Site appears to be an early one, think I see a 17th C latten spoon bowl :icon_thumright:
Congrats on the oldies !! HH, Herbie.
