By the Time I got over there It was Very Humid already.
I knew when I breathed the air I wasn't going to last long.

no Gas rebate Today again.

But a Nice amount of Trash. Those Aluminum Tubes sound good in the Ground.

also Got a Toasted Indian.

Can't quite Date it. I'm seeing 185 186 or 188 ?
though it is a bit Thick , & rang up in the High Nickle range.
I'm Not convinced it's a 59

Nice digs and Indian - Well if it's fat than its 1859-1864, and the 1859 has a laurel wreath. I'm pretty sure I see oak leaves, so if it's a fat IHC then you're looking at 1860-1864. Great find!

Cheers

well as I said. I'm not ready to call it A fattie.
It is thick for the Fact it's Dug, But Not particularly extra Think.
I've dug Fatties & something tells me this is Not Quite thick enough.

It did Ring up Upper Nickle Range, I actually Thought Nickle When
I saw Round but soon realized too small, But reminded me of a Flying Eagle for some reason.
that was my second thought.

best I can do Cleaning

Looking more like 87 to me now.

Our fatties are usually red, like a nickel... that green says copper to me.

Nice finds regardless.

Awesome digs. Give the Indian the peroxide treatment

naa ! not worth it. I hate cleaning coins anyway :tongue3:
not for fear of destroying Value. it just doesn't seem to improve toasted coins.
If it were encased in Thick tar like dirt maybe.

but as you can see from the pics it's pitted pretty bad.

DSCF0005(1).JPG

only thing it will do is remove the cool green tarnish

I was wondering how long it would take before someone mentioned the "heat/humidity" LOL

Good to see another IHC.
