I had posted in the coin section a couple weeks ago about a bunch of NZ coins I was considering selling...
I have now decided (even though I hate to destroy history) to sell them for melt...
Here is a list of the coins in the lot... All are 92.5% silver, many are in near mint condition (one or two almost proof)...

NZ Florin- 1943
NZ Half Crown(s)- 1943, 1935
Australian(?) Florin- 2 shilling 1926
NZ Shilling(s)- both 1933
NZ Sixpence- 1943 (4)
" " - 1942 (2)
" " - 1939
" " - 1937 (3)
" " - 1936 (3)
" " - 1934 (7)
" " - 1933 (5)
NZ 3d - 1943
" " - 1940
" " - 1937
" " - 1933 (2)
Victoria (British?) 3d- 1900

Pictures of coins can be found in the Coin section where I posted them a couple weeks ago..

Each coin was weighed, and came to a weight of 5.115183784 troy ounces, then using melt calculator, ending total of .999 pure silver in this lot is 4.731545 troy ounces..

Offers can be made on this post, or by PM'ing me.

Thanks folks..

I need to clarify some info on these coins... I was contacted by a coin dealer interested in these coins. He told me that NZ coins were only 50% silver, that British and Australian coins were 92.5% silver... I need to find the website again that stated they were sterling.. I just want to make sure that the facts are straight before I sell to anyone...
I apologize for this, as I had first posted 50%, then after finding that coin page, updated, now just really miffed. Shouldn't be discrepancies like that...
Of course, some are key dates that make them worth more than melt, but not like US coins values.

Re: 92.5% Silver coins for sale. *PLEASE READ*

Well here is what the deal seems to be... I had looked one of the large coins, it was 92.5%.... the coin is a British coin (NZ used British minted coins until their mint was going strong), and IT was sterling. Sheesh..
So, now knowing this, the folks who made offers now have more info to consider.
The NZ coin dealer did tell me that some are worth much more than melt simply due to rarity and condition and wants to see pics/info of each individual coin before making an offer.. I just don't think I want to go through that much work for what will probably make a huge difference- coin dealers generally don't offer top dollar compared to collectors.
Anyway, I apologize for the stupid mistake, but offers still wanted.

Silver Surfer, I've taken the liberty to make heads/tails of your listing. Quick summary - NZ minted 50%, England and Australia minted 92.5% (as it pertains to your list). Also, the "3d" coins are actually 3 Pence.

Anyway, I've cross-referenced the KM numbers and the Actual Silver Weight (ASW) in troy ounces/per coin for anyone wanting to double-check my work.

NZ Florin- 1943 KM 10 ASW - 0.18181
NZ Half Crown- 1943 KM 11 ASW - 0.22731
NZ Half Crown- 1935 KM 5 ASW - 0.22731
NZ Shilling(s)- both 1933 KM 3 ASW - 0.09083
NZ Sixpence- 1943 (4), 1942 (2), 1939, 1937 (3) KM 8 ASW - 0.04549
" " - 1936 (3),1934 (7), 1933 (5) KM 2 ASW - 0.04549
NZ 3pence - 1943, 1940, 1937 KM 7 ASW - 0.02267
" " - 1933 (2) KM 1 ASW - 0.02267
Victoria (British?) 3pence- 1900 (92.5%)KM 777 ASW 0.0420
Australian(?) Florin- (92.5%) KM 40 ASW 0.3363
Australian (2) shilling 1926 (92.5%) KM 26 ASW 0.1680

Re: 92.5% Silver coins for sale. *PLEASE READ*

Thanks Mack, I know that now.. The confusion was coins minted in UK vs basically the same coin (shilling) minted in Australia, S. Africa, or NZ...
I will go through them again and separate the British and Aussie from the NZ coins and re-calculate..

I am really embarrassed about this.. Sorry to all... I am just glad I didn't take the fair offers before hearing from the NZ coin dealer..

You must have missed my post above yours. I've gone ahead and separated the sterling from 50/50 (NZ) coins. Also, the KM catalog numbers along with the ASW in troy ounces/per coin. You'll have to do the multiplication and addition to get a total. Hope this helps. By the way, I sent you a PM.

Thank you so much DD!
I am embarrassed at how little I know about coins. What I do know is only due to good folks like you that continuously "enlighten" me...
But I guess that is what learning is all about. I'm just glad I didn't take the fair offers only to have someone be really teed off and then have to make it right and try to convince them I really wasn't trying to rip off anyone.
Thanks again, and I sent you a PM..

I don't know. Did you multiply the quantity of individual denominations by the ASW (per coin) and then add it up? I was too lazy to do that before.
