Found this one today on my way home. Looked fake but then saw the 925. Washed it at home and the diamonds look real and sparkle. Prob not worth much if anything cause they are small. But I was just exited not to find costume jewelry.
We'll worth what you paid and any pawn shop should be able to verify whether the diamonds are real or not. It looks like it might be missing a centerstone of some kind or it's designed to maybe mount a small Mexican dos pesos gold coin or early US gold dollar?
Yes missing a center stone. It's actually oval. Diamonds look real to me, my buddy has a tester and I'll have him test it next time I see him. Baking soda and foil pulled off the tarnish
I agree on the diamonds - looks like melee mixed with polished prongs - if that’s the case and I’m seeing it right then they’re almost certainly diamonds. It’s unusual to use tiny CZs for that application. Manufacturers and retailers get a lot of bang for their buck when they can say “genuine diamonds” - even with the little melee. I once saw a “diamond and sapphire bracelet” for sale that had about 14 tiny, dumpy looking sapphires and one little speck of a diamond near the clasp.
Really nice find. I think that maybe the center is empty intentionally as a design choice, cleaned up in that pic it looks almost signet-like? Or maybe it is sized to fit a specific gold coin as was suggested, it would look killer. Either way ya did good.
