A bullet, a button, and a bulletbutton

Not much time to hunt today. Sometimes I wish I had picked up this hobby before I was married with children.
The coolest thing I found was this freaky-lookin' bullet. Never have I seen a piece of lead shaped like this, seems too perfect to be carved, it is definitely solid lead.
I was pumped about the button till I saw how raggedy it was then I dug the "bulletbutton" the actual name is Zouave button, I believe. It's also in bad shape, I found a nice brass one of these about a year ago, I had no idea what it was and have no clue where it is now.
Right before I went in I saw this monster caterpillar, it's about 5 inches long and weighs about half a pound!

Hey Copper, Man that's some awesome finds. I found a Zouave buckle about a month or so ago.
I didn't know they fought in the area I'm searching.
That bullet is a mystery to me, One of the CW guys had it, had to be a reason for it.
You have a great area to hunt. Get back to it as soon as you can.
And the green guy, is super cool.

Over here they are a regular globe or ball button. I find 1 a week & they are in many of the fields I search.

Cool finds! My younguns go detecting with me although they like digging more than they like swinging the detector! I used to let them keep all the clad when they were little and they would think that they were rich!
