Those look like promising sites!
The water pump is for previously unavailable irrigation, I believe? :icon_scratch:

Stunning!

Absolutely STUNNING!

Not only would I want to hunt those spots.....But I'd like to takes dozens of color and B&W pics of that place for keepsake.
Someday - they will be gone! They are relics in of themselves!

Keep us up to date!

Great pics. I would definitely hunt that area as soon as possible. There could be two reasons for the pump in the field: 1). the Farmer got tired of carrying water from the main house and had a well drilled in the field, or 2). They could have been houses there many years before the field. Hope it helps.

I am in hopes the pump means there was homes or a home there and the pump was kept just for field workers.

I noticed that there's not much trash around and the grass is low. Let's hope that indicates not much trash underground as well. Gonna be on my to do list very soon.
