When I opened the plug, this fat round gold coin was like, Hola Amigo!
$100 peso, 1985.:BangHead: A few bullets, a few wheats, old buck knife, lock, button, 2 junk rings, and 2 silvers, both 1943 P....
I love hunting the Florida summer, each plug is clean and moist, easy digging. The drawback? The heat, my God, it's like I'm hunting the surface of the sun. I killed the water and Gatorade from 8 and 11 am, and my pee was clear...properly hydrated!!!...I can handle it!

Thanks for looking!:hello:

Hello BWD. Nice finds, war nickels are very cool.

You are correct it is hot and HUMID out there. Hunted 3-HRs this AM and had to call it about 11...BTW surface of the sun would be a dry heat so probably more comfortable.

Good Luck. C9

That same coin has gotten me once before. It sure looked like gold even after I had it in my hand...I do like finding old knives though, always a fun dig.

Congrats on those 2 OD nickels BWD. :occasion14: I love the heat, it just takes more water. I was using my camel pack in NC, but it needs a new o-ring. Not to bother though, My daughter got me a civilian one last Christmas that works just fine and is also a small pack.

Very nice coin and relic finds!

The heat can be troublesome, so I have going out at 5:00 am (my wife thinks I have a problem) and ending whenever!

Nice finds Bigwave. I know what you mean on those gold colored tokens or coins. I once thought I had myself a Double Eagle, and while in the middle of my heart attack I was able to see it was just a gold colored Readers Digest Token that was the same size.

Yep,, I've dug a few different gold colored foreign coins. Do you know how hard it is to keep your balance while your feet are already 2 steps into a happy dance while your mind is trying to catch up with an "Aw Sh£t!!"

Hunting the surface of the sun, that's funny. I feel ya brother I'm on the other side of the pond and fried the back of my neck this morning. I guess I'm officially a red neck now.:dontknow:
