Ya know i didnt know it had a big stone on the top until i got home :dontknow:

The stone could still be in the hole...Its actually a large oval stone that fits.I might have to sift that general area now :icon_thumleft:

Going by the size of the setting area, I wouldn't be suprised if it was a signet ring. The setting could be a variety of stone types carved into a family herald for wax sealing letters. Just a guess though.
