For those of you who have never tried it, this weekend check out the FREE section of your local craigslist. Saturday afternoon is the best, as people who had garage sales tend to put the leftovers by the curb. I have found all sorts of amazing things doing this. Once, I found a .22 pistol in a box left by the curb...it had a spent casing stuck in the chamber, and I was able to pop it out no problem...
The point is, if you want to find interesting free treasure, give it a look. You would be amazed at what some stupid people throw away, even in an economy like this. I will usually donate some of my finds, and fix up and sell some of the others, and keep some things. But hey, it is all free, right?
