That lollipop looking brass thing is a reins guide (from a horse drawn buggy), a bit different than most, because of the extension on the post, but a reins guide none the less.

Nice going on the old coins! Well done.

I know the spot you're hunting and cannot understand how you can concentrate enough to swing the coil. This time of year that place is crawling with scantily clad nubile princess. Perhaps at your advanced age you are able to ignore such scenery. Great job on the merc and other nice coins. With the $25.00 ticket for parking in an area clearly marked no parking those three coins cost you only $8.33 each + gas money unless you rode with Frank.

back again today, got a crushed '60-D Rosie. wedged so tight in the rock crevice it took 15 minutes to retrieve it, on my knees on a dry boulder, peering into 6 inches of fast clear water. the white edge kept staring back, daring me to free it from the glacial chasm. no bambi's today, just senior females, had to take my specs off to avoid eye damage!!!!. only me & FMERG are crazy enough to snatch coins from cracks in rocks of a whitewater creek
