I had some time to hit the woods for spell, i could see a snow mobile grave yard from the trail, but that side of the trail was posted so all i could do was photo- ..most of the coins i found were toast except for the 1935 buffalo, go figure. i did find a nice bell and U.S. collar insignia, not sure if its silver, no markings so im guessing not. also found a 1900 indian head and matron head LC, and a mini bic lighter holder,...also a Westinghouse generator plate dated 1914.. i think that just about covers it, ..enjoy,

You got some good stuff there. Anyplace where you can turn up a large cent has some age to it. Congrats!

You skip the best find. The button with the 13 stars looks like a rattlesnake button. If it is then it is Rev War era. Nice finds and photos.

Happy hunting

Always wanted a bell and have yet to find one. That one is pretty darned big. Keep at it. Maybe when it cools down more you can get closer to the ground.

Pro can you post a close up of that button? It's got 13 "stars" and normally is a patriot button of some sort. Could be a significant find. Great stuff, Abe

I had about 3 or 4 more of these in my collections somewhere, once i find them ill post better pics of it, my belief is that its WW2 era, it doesnt have a normal shank, it has a sort of raised circular rim, like for a snap.

i may have sold the others i had, but here`s a close up of the one posted, as far as i can tell it has no makers mark and the rev seems from a more modern coat.
