Well it's official, today was the hottest UK October day on record at 29.9C (85.82F). We haven't had any decent rain for a few weeks either, so the ground is rock hard. I thought about going detecting, but the field has no shade. So I waited for the heat to drop a bit and took Benson for a walk. I hope you enjoy the pics
The first three photo's are of a Long-tailed Tit. It realy liked the camera and just kept on posing
This Goldfinch landed on the overhead cables as I was taking pics of the Long-tail
I thought I would call this shot "Heading Home" or "Lookout Below"
As I was coming off the Common, I spotted this Robin eyeing up the last blackberry. It was starting to get dark by now.
