Sorry folks, but I've been a bit busy these last few weeks and haven't had much time to catch up on TN. The wife wanted me to plant a garden, and I must say, it would have been cheaper to just buy the veggies! :tongue3:
Here are some relics I dug a few weeks ago. Some with DD-777 (Andy), and some solo. These were all recovered from a few old home yards from the early 1900's.
My finds were:

*1917 Merc - Ya-hoooo!

*1964 Rosie - Ya-hooooo again!

*Wheats- 1917 , 1918, 1945.

*Old ring stamped "sterling".

*"USN" pin - no idea what it stands for. I posted it in the "what is it" section awhile back.

*Heel plate - strange design

*Two old jewelry pieces.

*Dog tags - 1981 , 1982 , 1999, "Cinnamon"

*Asst'd toys

*Pacific Trail pin

*Bonnie Bell cosmetic compact

*Old square brass plate with faint # on it. I posted this in the "what is it" section awhile back.

*Keys

*Lead seal from Clinton, NC.

Thanks for looking & happy hunting.

Hey,

Thanks for catching up with your posts, I love the finds.... Awesome !!

Don't worry you'll thank your wife when you start getting FREE, corn, tomato's, squash, and whatever else you'll grow. They end up paying off, you could do a roadstand and start making money too. Not to mention that when the world starts to end and world trade stops you'll need to know how to farm and hunt your own food again.

Keep @ it and HH!!

Thanks MUD.
I agree. We'll all need to learn how to grow our own soon enough. I told my wife the initial cost was a bit much, but the following years will be a LOT cheaper.
My Dad grew & sold his own produce and had a fantastic business going out in the country. There's a lot of money to be had if you know what you are doing.
Sorry to bring this up, but my Dad was killed tending to his produce stands right in front of his house a few years ago. A guy fell asleep at the wheel, left the road and killed him.
Sad, but my Dad died doing what he loved.

Not too bad Doug. Which site had the merc?

Gardening is more of a hobby. Usually you get a little more than you put into it but it's fun...right? ;D

Busy? Shhheesh. You think there are other things besides detecting?! ;D ::)

Bob,
Remember the green house, the guy with the fencing sword? I found the Merc on the grass strip between the front sidewalk and the street. It was right at the egde where the grass meets the sidewalk.
Hope you and the family are are well.

Thanks SF. I'm hoping to find a large silver this year as they have eluded me. Nothing bigger than a quarter so far. :(
