Got out for about 3 hrs total yesterday (Sat.) and about an hour today. I have NEVER found a war nickel, really wasn't even sure what they were all about, never even got one in change before. Well yesterday I went to the same place where I got the merc. last week and I found a 1942S Nickel with a 1940 Wheat cent right on top of it! I was VERY happy with that but this is where it gets kind of weird...haha! After I was done in that spot I went home, did some things and decided to go out again detecting later in the day. I went to a spot about 10 miles from the place I had been earlier in the day. Well I found ANOTHER War nickel...a 1945D! I went from having never seen one, to getting two in the same day in two different places! I got a few other Wheats and some clad along with those. Today I went back to the place where I found the first War nickel yesterday and got a couple more wheats and a 1946 Rosie. The Wheats are a 1940,1941,2-1944's,2-1946's,1954,1957. Other then that just a bit of clad and a non working watch. I had a GREAT detecting weekend and added a few more cool coins to my collection...
