Finally got out for few hours. It felt really good to swing the Explorer again and I'm loving the new metal arm-cuff that I got after going through a few plastic ones.

Hit a spot that I thought had some potential, and I was right. I got my first ever New Jersey copper. Unfortunately, as with 99% of the coppers I find, it is toast. But, there is enough of the shield and horse showing to ID it as a NJ. (not sure the picture will show the shield, but it is there!!!)

Got a couple of musket balls and a buckle fragment too. I'm very pleased with my outing.

Thanks hogge. I have found a Conn, a MA and now a NJ. But, no VT's. Maybe I need to visit the western part of the state

Way to go Brian ! I am glad you got out :hello2: I would be happy with that NJ copper . A 1700's copper from the ground in about good condition is a good find ! I will be shocked if I dig a NJ way up here in Maine ! HH MaineRelic

Good job Brian. :icon_thumright: You will never go back to a plastic arm cuff after having the metal one. Well worth the extra cash. :icon_thumright:

WTG Brian, shame on condition but it is identifiable and that is what counts on our historic recoveries. Like Sniffy, could you please PM me with the county/state found in for my survey? Thanks

I concur with wanting to find a Vermont, both the son and I have found 2 each but it was back in the 90s! Long dry spell since then....
