This point has a rhomboid crosssection as a result of single beveling on each face, and the base does not appear to be ground...It also has a great patina and River polish... It’s a north Florida piece...Any ideas on ID.

Lots of small Woodland period corner notch points. Some just don't t type easy. Looks a little small for a Kirk. Bullen might have typed it a Leon, not real common. They are small North Florida points. Nice piece with the river polish. St. John's points tend to be blue so maybe a panhandle river?

It has left hand bevelling. Very unusual. A left handed individual used it? The only culture that used left handed bevelling were the Dalton people. A nice skinning knife regardless. Gary

Exactly, right hand bevel, by a lefty..at least that’s what I always thought, then to, it might’ve been a non conformist knapper,Lol....Noticed some on Bolens also, don’t know about other areas cuzz I only collected Florida..I don’t put too much stock in which side the bevel is on when trying to determine what type point it is ...thanks for lookin.

First off -- Rhomboid: a solid figure with six faces in which each face is a parallelogram and pairs of opposite faces lie in parallel planes.

IOW, it's bi-beveled (both left and right bevels on both sides).

IOW, it's a Kirk Cornernotch.

FWIW
