A Fob, A Buffalo, Tax Tokens and Money from the Bahama's?

Another beautiful day in Alabama and DiggerBug and I hit our new site. Started out with a wheat penny and regular change, then got this really bad looking Buffalo nickel. That's OK though...I'll take it. Now we're in the middle of nowhere and I'm doodling along and I get another nickel signal. Dig it and out pops this dime from the Bahamas. ??? :D Now who would have been here from the Bahamas? :D Strange! .......I know, I know! It was one of those that came in a bus to hunt this place!! :D Or maybe it was DJ who lost it while he was hiding spoons for me to find. :P I ended up with a variety of finds...the usual tax tokens and a button...the weight looking thingy, (I think I saw one of these on here in the last couple of days) it has a hole in the top but not on the bottom. ??? And what I think my favorite find of the day was this watch fob! It was REALLY dirty! You know, the kind of dirt that sticks like cement and don't wanna come off! :-\ Well after soaking and scrubbing for hours, I can see that on the front what looks a man sitting and sewing. At the bottom of the front looks like it has 'A stitch in time'. On the back looks like it says A E Anderson & Co, tailors, Chicago. Sound familiar to anyone? I've tried to find info on it, but came up with nothing.
Thanks and hope ya have a great weekend!!!
Nana ;)

As always a great thread Nana!

My favorite is the FOB but do I also see some of those fruit jar lids in the pan? At lumber camps I call those pulltabs. The metal from those jar lids is everywhere.

Great post!

This is all I could find:

Its only on the web because of the comic strip next to it.

Nice hunt, nanners! I found two antlers like that today!

Now a fob...with a man sitting and sewing....that's the way life should be.....I'd like to find one with a man doing the dishes on it..or maybe runnning the sweeper. Those are really valuable! ::) ::) ::)
