I went to a friends today and she let me hunt her parents yard. I guesstimated the house to be about 1950 or so and I think I was right based upon my findings. I got 2 wheats out of the yard, 1939 and 1951D as well as a handful of memorials, all from the 1960s. The oddball coin from their yard was a 1927 Mexican 5 Centavos made of Bronze. It is about the size of a large cent, so when I pulled it out of the ground you can bet my excitement!

Then she took me to a park and I detected for about 30min while her kids played on the swings. The first signal I dug was about 4" deep. I pulled it out of the ground.... and a beautiful lady came out of the ground. It was an 1892 Silver Canadian 5 cent piece. It's about half the size of a dime. I also got a wheat penny out there as well and a few pieces of clad. I definately plan on checking that place out again.

Actually it sounded great on the Explorer. I knew it was a coin based on the sound it was giving me, but I was just assuming it to be a memorial penny, or maybe a wheat at the oldest based upon the depth. I don't think it sank very deep though because it is so tiny and light that it has no weight to sink it down any farther.
