Went digging in the same spot I had been for the past few weeks this afternoon. Found these, all in about an hour.

I think that you are on the quartz point mother lode. Nice finds today.

Yeah, It was certainly an hour well spent. Found the big one in the first 5 minutes and found the other 3 all in the same hole about 4 feet away from the first one about 45 minutes later. I certainly am in Quatrz country right now.

The one on the left is a Squibnocket Stemmed and the one on the right is a Wading River but I'm not sure on the types of the other two.

So how deep are you at hitting these? Very nice ones.

About 8-12" down seems to be where I'm finding all the quartz. I'm hitting sand at about 18-24" so there's nothing beyond that.

What period are these from? Some I have gotten that are Early Archaic I have seen at 6-8 ft in depth.

Late archaic through middle woodland I believe.

Where I'm digging now you hit sand or clay at about 2 feet and there's nothing below that.

Must be nice to hit them so shallow. I did some research at one time trying to figure the levels to inches per period where I live. I was bored then lol.
