So I keep finding new sites to detect and am growing very tired of detecting solo.....I had preferred it earlier in the season but now i'm just plain lonely towards the end of the day. Twice in the last week I had plans that fell through with two detecting buddies of mine and I was heartbroken sunday at the news it had happened again. I had a Turkey Raffle to run with the fire department I work at which began at 6pm......so I took off for a fear hours in the early afternoon to get some solo digging time in. I returned to the CCC camp that I recently discovered and did some milling around the old trails hoping to find that 100th silver coin for the year......well it happened....about 50 feet down trail from a nice 1921 wheat that I pulled from there 2 weeks ago. A 1945-P war nickel......nothing too great but hey.....its number 100....and I like it :) Also found a little buckle, 30 cents in clad (not bad for the woods trails), a 1957 wheat, a brass whatsit, and some chunk of metal that looks to be silver...no rust....fairly shiny....thicker than foil or an aluminum can.....weird.

Nice, yes those war Nickels are 35% Silver so I'd say they definitely DO count as a Silver! Congrats :headbang:
