There's this portion of an older avenue here in town where the city is erecting a few habitat homes. The land once had homes, but they have be demolished in favor of these newer projects. It's been an ongoing endeavor for about a year or more now, and most of the modest homes have been built with the exception of an open lot still remaining at the end of the block by the intersection. I drive by it almost everyday now (as do many others) as a detour due to construction elsewhere. So off this main busy avenue, on the perpendicular street next to the open lot, I kept seeing the grass area between the walkway and road (the "tree belt")...and wondered. So, after about 12 hours of recent rain, I finally decided the timing was right and gave it a shot during my lunch hour today. My decision paid handsomely. I plucked my 40th silver coin of the year, plus a .925 silver ring as a bonus. The ground was great digging: dark soil, fairly loose. It made me think of how little time I have left this season. I nicked the Merc (some 6" down) while bringing it to the surface, but luckily it isn't a key date.

Happy hunting all and thanks for listening.

Congrats on pulling that silver ring and the Merc. :occasion14: I often listen to my gut and it normally pays off. It's called the law of attraction. One of the the ways the universe gives you what you want/desire. These have been there waiting for you to discover.

Interesting that you mentioned the " Law of Attraction" Loco. I have read that book & also apply that method to not only Treasure Hunting, but everything in life. It is a very interesting book & congrats to you for being such a positive person. That's what its all about. Beam good things into the universe & have good things beamed back to you. And congrats on your silvers Alchemist. Nice job.

Up north - we call that area the "tree belt" even if they have no trees
most old areas they do or did - I used to clean up hitting those small areas of grass
specially up here where we get snow - people drop stuff in the snowy side walks and stuff gets shoveled
onto that area
