Hello Forum,

I was out today and found so many targets, but these three have my interest. Can anyone help me to ID the knife? It has a mark on it, it says sterling, and it says PAT.1930

Also, can anyone suggest the best way to restore this padlock?

Very nice hunt! :occasion14:

IMHO:
What I have doing for the last four locks dug is soak them in apple cider vinegar, but keep an eye on it. They do turn out very nice if you soak (time varies), clean (lightly brush), change solution...repeat!

Your knife is a butter knife although I haven't found the same pattern yet. I think your lock is newer as it is steel and IMO not worth trying to restore. No idea on the ornate keyhole. I am guessing it was on a wood drawer like for an end table though since it has screw or nail holes.

Nice find on the sterling.

Your knife can be found here:

Pattern is Elsinore By International Silver
