It’s getting cold and windy and with hunting season in full boom, our time in the field is on pause. There’s work to be done and petroglyphs to be photographed but…it’ll have to wait.

While waiting…I thought that I would share my small collection from a central Pennsylvania site that has nothing spectacular but it is a good representation of typical west-central Pa lithics. These all came from the same site, many years ago.

Thank you. Nothing too fancy. I think the best artefacts from the site are in the state museum now. These were collected by the family back from mid 1800s til before the site was official. Some neighboring farms are still churning up findings and bald eagle creek has always been a popular place to peruse for arrowheads.

Very nice! I found some many years ago along Trout Run creek near Williamsport Pa.
This would be near unionville, centre county. Just a little south of you.
