We have been getting some very nice beach erosion in SoCal lately. A lot of coins and black sand. This little medallion really stuck out in the jet black color of the sand. Weighed in at 2.45g...........

Good Luck Out There

You might be on to something. I thought this piece was a silver ingot, it's got the shape. Don't think it's a fishing weight. The acid/stone test says it's silver but no marks. It weighs a little over 20g. My fisherman buddy, who makes his own lead sinkers, said he'd never seen one like it.???

The medallion is an Om sign that means "prostration" as in worship. It's Hindu! Very cool find!
Did you find it near "Swami's?
