A little help please?

Any idea what kind of bullet this is? Definitely Civil War and does not seem to be either a Shaler or an ordinary ring tailed Sharps.

Could it be a finial, Like a flag pole or scabbard tip? If you post this in the what is it forum you should get more replies. But, be sure to include measurements.

I posted the bullet in the "What is it?" area and within a half hour TheCannonballGuy solved the mystery. It is a variant ringtailed Sharps with the sprue uncut. Good stuff.
