A long shot

Hey guys,

I had a very unfortunate accident a few weeks back while trying to cross a creek and lost my control unit to the fast moving current, just lucky my dog or I didn't drowned really, so I know this is a long stretch but if anyone knows of a XP Deus remote that it's owner wouldn't mind parting with, I would be quite interested. Not much of a fan of the headphones (the unit I purchased did not come with the headphone control) though. I may just end up having to sell my coil, shaft, and all of the accessories without ever getting to use it properly but that comes with the territory.

Well that sucks...
I have never seen just the controller for sale, but that being said...
You might give one of the forum sponsors a shout and see what they can do.
They have been very helpful to all of us.

There are a few who sell just the remote, but it's $700 + shipping and tax (as I recall) and I really don't have that kind of money around, it was a stretch for me to buy the detector in the first place and really I shouldn't be thinking about spending more on it but it would be somewhat soul crushing to have spent $1200 on nothing so I was seeing if any users were satisfied with just the wireless headphones remote and would be willing to part with the main unit.

$1200 for the remote, coil and shaft, was it used? That setup is usually like $1700

For a cheaper purchase you might try the WS5 full size headphones @ $429 on that auction site or again drop a line to a sponsor (Bart) for maybe a better price.
