Today I headed to the park and scored two nice silver dimes on the tail end of my hunt. My first barber of the year! Enjoy your day.

PS: for the detectorist(s) that leave holes open, chunks of iron, and are tearing up flower beds in MEMORIAL PARK in MAPLEWOOD NJ, cut the sh#t. And thanks for leaving these two nice coins. I see you went RIGHT over them in your trail of carnage. Fill your holes and take your junk please.

thanks buddy. The only thing worse is people that rebury junk finds. If I find 'em they'll be promptly crushed and left strewn in my wake. Lol.

Just joking moderators....

Great scores Scrappy. I've had the same thing happen in my go to park, it sheds a bad light on all of us that detect properly!! A little Karma finding what they missed! Congrats

It's not my go-to since it's is hammered on a near daily basis (according to my friend who lives on the park). I just went back there today and found it trashed. I ended up cleaning up their iron because yes, it makes us all look bad unfortunately.

Great finds!

I'm afraid you might be preaching to the choir though. Anyone who posts here would know better. I hope.

I am convinced that the morons who are detecting irresponsibly belong to other forums.

Way to go bud! Headed in the right direction with that barber dime( something I've never found). And now you know why I hike miles into the woods. No open holes left behind by some idiot. Just me and the critters.

Not every day you find a 101 year old piece of silver
I personally like the Barber look better than the Mercury, but maybe that's just becasue they are so much harder to find nowadays compared to the Mercs.

111 years. Lol. You're right about barbers being harder to find. I find 25 Mercs to each barber...
