I’ve been doing some garage cleaning lately and happened across a box that I picked up not that long ago which was supposedly lost in my move.

This was picked up at the estate of a retired jeweler who happened to service watches. I had a great time looking through his treasures and came home with quite a bit.

As I went through the box this evening, I found this tucked away in the bottom. It appears to be a complete and working balance wheel assembly to a clock that I can’t identify.

All it has for markings in Made in Switzerland. It’s jeweled and of exceptional quality.

Is this an identifiable part to a high end mantle clock? It’s a shot in the dark but I’m hoping somebody here can recognize it

In my hunt over the years I've seen a couple times vintage bank vault mechanical time locks. They're pretty cool devices. Not saying that's what it's part of, but a possibility to what it may be a part of?
