A Navy officer, Seal from years back, and a little silver for show

Have to add some additions to come anywhere close to matching Ironhore's post... but I have no shame.


The last site we hit yesterday, an incredible site and no real debating that, but happened to be the one where IH could do no wrong, and I could do nothing but wrong. Ironically my Navy button (1805-1812) was dug earlier in the day so it was an outright trouncing at the good location. With that being said, I have included a nice little wax seal which is my find and being posted for the first time, but was given to the property owner over a decade ago when I dug it. (Says "Thomas") I had no memory of what it looked like so asked if he could grab it so i could take a picture. He also brought out a silver marked Bosun whistle dug by the guy who had taken me to the field back in the day, and also given to the land owner. Was asked if I could get an ID, which I am still working on.

Sure was a great day to be out and can't wait to do it again!

The story about the site is taking shape from several fronts... we're just picking it up again after a hiatus for a couple of seasons...and it's not over yet !
The rest of the area has me more interested in some of the other fields close by
your navy turned out to be a lot nicer than I imagined!
