We carried on gridding for just over 2 hours before we decided to move. This area pretty much played out as we expected, with very little good finds.
After lunch we tried the area where I had a hammered & roman silver last week. But today our silver streak was over.
Cru'dad 4.5 hours & me 4 hours 45 minutes.

3 Scrappies
1897 5 Centimes
17th C Button with flower design
Tudor Buckle
Will III Farthing
Jetton
17th C Token
2 Tudor Clothes Fasteners - St John & a Cherub

Like the clothes fastener with the childs face. Can you give me a date on the flat button top row right, with the broken off cast shank?

I find it funny that each of us have found a Centesimi coin from the 1800s this month, and we are on seperate continents!!! Wish that would happen with other stuff!!! LOL!

Cherub with sun rays (or light of God), its well molded & stood up well in the sandy soil. My best example even with the hook missing.

The top row right is just another dirty tombac, so circa 1790.

Good to see you are still getting out my friend, and Crudad. Give the old bugger my best. Hope to get out soon, just about to buy a new detector, so maybe I can give you a run for your money :)

The only negative about hot streaks is that they eventually have to come to an end, but you can always start a new one with the next hunt:-X. Regardless, you still dug a nice assortment of finds. Can't get over how many jettons you guys dig. I've only found 3-4 in 20 years of hitting early sites.

Jettons are 1 of our base indicators for close by hammereds. Yes, we get quite a lot.

Everyone knows that the Lincoln Continental was named after the Saxon Prince "Lincoln Fordj"
They dropped the j when they relocated to North America and started building cars.
Nice digs
