Went camping with the grandkids a week ago and had time for a fast 1 hour hunt in a near by city. Didn't find any coins but did find this button in a hole with a nail. From what I could find it's a WWI button off a solders uniform coat. The conditin is perfect, except for the bent eye hole. I know it's not called the eye hole but I can't think of the correct name right now. Duh.

Very nice button! I found one years ago that still had some gilding on it back then but I looked at it last night and the gilding was pretty much gone. I tried looking it up and could not find the exact button on-line. The ribbon in the eagles beak gets really thin like yours but the ones I see on-line on the Waterbury button site are different. Great find never the less. :headbang:
