That slug is a Killer find! VERY few of those are found, and I don't recall any posted on this forum before. BIG congratulations on that one!

Looks like you all are on the outskirts of a camp, with all of the pulled bullets.

Although shotguns would have been almost unused during battles, there are references to them being relied upon on occassion. And with the ability to pack two types of loads (in the double barrels) it became appealing to some soldiers.

After a little research I see these CW shotgun slugs to be a rare find indeed! :icon_sunny:

I don't see lead in the banner too often, but this would be a great choice!

civilman... you are amonst the great CW finders - well done!

Great finds I've never found star ends and the button is very cool I think its pre civil war and best of all the shotun slug WOW! very cool day!
