Happy mothers day to all. These are my finds for the day. I figured i would use the compadre to see what my sons AT pro and my Tejon might have missed on last weeks hunt. Indeed we missed a few items. I think the most interesting find for my day is the Tiny Bottle made of metal. I believe its made of copper and after cleaning it up i was happy to see paint and raised lettering.

Does anyone have a clue what this might have been for? One side says Watkins Vanilla and the other side says Prize winner. what kind of prize have i won?

PURE vANILLA EXTRACT IS QUITE EXPENSIVE, SO IT CAME IN VERY SMALL CONTAINERS. CONGRATS.

I don't believe this is an actual vanilla bottle. Its made of metal...possibly copper and pretty heavy for its size leading me to believe its solid.

No its a junk ring gold plated. Still it was fun pulling it from the ground.

I believe it may have been an advertising needle threader. I see some online from them (as well as thimbles), and although the ones I see aren't a match they seem close enough to be possible.

Thanks for all the input guys. When i first pulled it from the ground i was thinking it was some sort of weight for a scale. After clearing more dirt it took on the shape of the bottle and after washing it off under the sink, the blue paint was literally glowing on the side of the bottle like phosphorous. kinda scary at first but very cool looking.

So, i am completely baffled by this metal object in the shape of a bottle. Its not hallow, its very solid and heavy and i can't find any info or references anywhere on the net about it. Does anyone think it could be a box insert to be redeemed for a prize from JR Watkins? A kinda golden ticket thing like Wanka bars? /SIZE]
