Cool old plates !

Love those old plates

Old plates are cool to find and seem to be getting more and more harder to find! Nice saves.

were you digging in a dump(?) - if you soak those with some oxalic acid - it will remove some rust - leaving whatever paint still remains beneath - Ive had totally brown ones clean up where they still had a lot of paint hiding under the surface rust - this also works well with old beer cans - see any of those (steel not aluminum..)

Great Plates!..>Careful cleaning them.. I found a 1920s texas Plate once and tried to remove the rust from it...it made it look worse then it was and had a few holes in it...As Mentioned...use oxalic acid and be gentle with them

People do collect old plates, so check into them.

As for the scrap metal sort it and toss it into buckets then turn it in for $$ when you get enough, it's all money!

I'll probably keep the plates for garage decor. I don't clean them, just brush them off. Definitely happy with these finds. Thanks

Quality time is just as good as the find ,when your with family, neat plates, vanzutphen
