1974-75? Hwy 115 between Colo. Spgs. And Penrose. Left Side. I think it’s closer to the springs than Penrose. You can see it from the road. In a clump of Cottonwoods. The back side of the wallboard had pastel color prints of 1930’s vintage cars. I think each had manufacturer, model and year printed below. Always thought they would look good and sell framed.
There was a timber between the house and barn, on the ground. Single piece, not laminated, maybe 16”x24”x40’. If it’s still there it need to be rescued and used as a prominent feature somewhere. Such a waste to see a fine, noble, piece of wood wasting away. You don’t find timbers like that anymore.
